The New Mexico Junior College golf team finished fifth out of 12 teams at the TankLogix Invite on Wednesday, turning in a team score of 567. Host Midland College took the top spot with a score of 542. Odessa (553), Indian Hills
(555), and Ranger College (564) rounded out the top four.
Julius Kreutzer was the top finishing Thunderbird, carding a score of 137 to finish in a tie for eighth.
Andrew Ni shot a 144 to finish tied for 29th while Hobbs graduate Tyler Cox turned in a 14, finishing tied for 35th. Zhane Chan was tied for 43rd with a score of 147 and Liam Duncan's 150 had him tied for 53rd. NMJC's final golfer was Harvey Hill who shot a 151 and finished tied for 57th.
The T-Birds will be back on the links on Sunday, March 17 when NMJC hosts the Thunderbird Invitational at Rockwind Community Links.
