Williams a Projected Starter for TCU in 2017-18 Season

On Tuesday, we took a look at the guards on the 2017-18 Horned Frogs basketball team, and now we turn our eyes to the front court. There's a ton to be excited about with this group, so we are going to get right to it. As always, stats per KenPom.

Projected Starters

#34 Kenrich Williams (Sr, New Mexico JC)

2016-17 Stats: 11.4 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 2.7 APG, 50/36/59 shooting splits

What can be said about Kenny Hustle that hasn't already been said? The man was a revelation this past season, evolving into a double-double machine after missing the entire 2015-16 campaign due to injury. He's the most versatile player on the team, able to bang inside and grab rebounds (his 23% defensive rebound rate is insane for a wing player, ranking second best in the Big 12 last year), while still being able to step outside and play the perimeter. He was the team leader in steal rate, offensive rebound percentage, and defensive rebound percentage, in addition to being ranked second in offensive rating, minutes used, effective field goal percentage, true shooting percentage, and two-point field goal percentage. In short, the guy can really play. Kenny is the top NBA prospect on the team, as his rebounding ability and three-point shooting could make him a valuable asset. I fully expect him to be in the league at some point in the future, and I will call my shot here and now to say that he will be firmly in the Big 12 player of the year discussion come March.
