School Records Fall in Last Regular Season Meet

In the last meet before the NJCAA Outdoor Championships the #1 Ranked T-Birds continued to improve. The team set three school records, qualified five new events and improved and improved on four.

The 4 x 100 Meter Relay probably had one of the most impressive races as the team of Trishawna Crawford, Christine Moss, Britney Hew, Shian Hyde won the race with a very fast time of 44.38. Other records were set by Esther Gitahi in the 5000M and Latavia Coombs in the 100 Meter Hurdles.

New qualifying marks came from Bristol O'connor (Shot Put and Discus), Esther Gitahi (5000M), Cynthia Kipserem (Steeple Chase) and Cassidy Reddell (Steeple Chase). Seeing improvements were Shian Hyde (100M), Latavia Coombs (100M Hurdles), Teresha Jacobs (Steeple Chase) and the 4 x 100 Relay.

The T-Birds are now set for the NJCAA Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas on May 18th, 19th and 20th.
