Tbirds stay hot, race past Luna

GAME 1
NMJC Thunderbirds jumped out to an early lead on Luna Community College and captured a 21-1 victory on Friday at NMJC.
Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed NMJC Thunderbirds to put the game away early.
A solo home run by Zac Sanders and a solo home run by Jesse Becton in the second inning supplied the early offense for NMJC Thunderbirds .
NMJC Thunderbirds hit four home runs in the win. Additional home runs for NMJC Thunderbirds came when Luis Pintor homered in the fourth inning and Angel De Jesus homered in the fourth inning.
Pintor racked up five RBIs on four hits for NMJC Thunderbirds . He singled in the first inning, doubled in the third and fourth innings, and homered in the fourth inning.
Blake Walden picked up his league leading 11th the win for NMJC Thunderbirds to remain perfect on the year. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered six hits.
NMJC Thunderbirds easily handled Luna Community College pitching as nine hitters combined for 15 hits, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
Jeff Deimling started things off with an RBI single scoring Jimmy Cubillos and Travon Benton. Daniel Herrera followed that up with a single that scored Deimling in the third as the Thunderbirds scored nine runs in the frame.
NMJC Thunderbirds tacked on another 10 runs in the fourth. De Jesus homered, plating Larry Leitha to start the inning. That was followed up by Cubillos' triple, scoring Pintor.
GAME 2
A nine-run explosion in the fifth inning led NMJC Thunderbirds to a 12-2 win in five innings over Luna Community College at NMJC on Friday.
NMJC Thunderbirds scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Jimmy Cubillos, an RBI single by Travon Benton, an RBI single by Benton, a two-run double by Zac Sanders, an RBI single by Jesse Becton, an RBI single by Becton, an RBI double by Angel De Jesus, a two-run double by Luis Pintor, and an RBI double by Cubillos.
Cubillos had three extra-base hits for the Thunderbirds.
Roberto Delgado got the win for NMJC Thunderbirds thanks to eight strikeouts. Delgado allowed two earned runs, three hits and one walk over five innings.
NMJC Thunderbirds 's Sanders, Pintor, Cubillos and Becton combined for eight hits and nine RBIs.
NMJC Thunderbirds never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on an RBI double by Cubillos and a groundout by Jeff Deimling.
