NMJC Finishes Third in High Country Shootout

T-Birds finished third and ninth at the High Country Shootout in Ruidoso, NM over the weekend. 

The team shot a 264-271-279-814 on the par 72 earning them a third place spot. The T-Bird B team shot a 283-281-290-854 for ninth place.  Four NMJC golfers landed in the tournament's Top 20. Freshman Matthis Lefevre finished in 5th place shooting a 66-69-66-201. Finishing in 8th place was freshman Timothy Chan shooting a 68-63-72-203. Freshman Mads Roddick finished 12th shooting 63-70-71-204. In 14th place came freshman Harry O'Shea who shot a 67-69-71-207. 

Midland College finished the tournament in first place shooting a 267-264-265-796. Samuel MKenzie from Midland College shot a 65-61-66-192 to win the tournament. 

Their next tournament will be in Wichita Falls, TX on October 11th through the 12th at the Midwestern State Invitational.
