T-Birds Finish Third at WJCAC Championship

The NMJC T-Birds competed in the WJCAC Championship over the weekend at the Sweetwater Country Club in Sweetwater, TX. 

The T-Birds finished third as a team shooting 536 overall and -32 under on the Par 71. The T-Birds finished round 1 scoring 267 and round 2 scoring 269. Odessa Community College took first place shooting 510 and -58 under while Midland College took second place shooting 528 and -40 under. 

The T-Birds competed well as two athletes finished in the top 10. Timothy Chan tied for 5th place scoring 130 and -12 under and Diego Cruza finished in seventh place scoring 131 and -11 under. Sangha Park from Odessa Community College finished in first place shooting 123 and -19 under. 

The team will head to Willow Park, Texas on Monday April 11th to compete in the NJCAA Southwest Championship at Squaw Creek Golf Course.
