The New Mexico Junior College men's indoor track and field team went to the Texas Tech Matador qualifier and had one national qualifying mark and four qualifiers improve their marks. The T-Birds had an NJCAA record and improved qualifying mark from Andrei Romanov in the weight throw at 70 feet and seven inches.
Avon Rouse hit his national qualifier in the 200-meter with a final time of 21.75 seconds. In the 400-meter Victor Akhalu and Rouse improved on the national qualifying marks. Jalen Purcell in the 200-meter improved on his qualifying mark at 21.43 seconds. Andrei Romanov.
