Bio

Kaytlyn Miller is entering her first year as an assistant with the NMJC women's rodeo program.

Coach Miller grew up on cattle ranches in Utah and Nevada, she brings a championship pedigree, multi-event expertise, and a deep passion for collegiate rodeo to her role as Women’s Assistant Rodeo Coach. Throughout her collegiate career, Miller competed in goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping, and barrel racing—establishing herself as one of the most versatile and consistent athletes in college rodeo.

A three-time College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) qualifier, Miller consistently ranked among the top five goat tyers in the nation and was named the CNFR Reserve All-Around Champion in 2022. She also earned fifth overall in goat tying at the CNFR in both 2019 and 2023. In 2024, she was awarded the Southwest Region Horse of the Year and claimed All-Around titles at the Howard College and Sweetwater College Rodeos. 

Miller's career includes numerous individual event championships and All-Around titles across the Southwest Region—from Vernon College to Alpine, Sweetwater, Texas Tech, and more. Her accolades reflect a rare combination of consistency, competitiveness, and skill across multiple rodeo disciplines. 

While at Texas Tech, Miller was a key contributor to the women's rodeo team and twice earned the title of Women’s Goat Tying Champion. With elite-level competition experience in four events and a strong academic foundation, Coach Miller is passionate about mentoring student-athletes both in and out of the arena. She brings energy, resilience, and a winning mindset to her coaching, with a mission to help each athlete reach their full potential and contribute to the proud tradition of college rodeo.

Academically, Miller holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Natural Resources and Communications, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics—both from Texas Tech University.
