Bio
Payson Crouch is entering his first year as an assistant with the NMJC men’s rodeo program.
Crouch is a native of Dodge City, KS, and an alum of NMJC Rodeo. Crouch is an avid team roper and horse trainer. He attended NMJC from 2018-21, earning his Associate of Arts and his Associate of Science.
During his time in Hobbs, Payson qualified for several short rounds in the Southwest Region in the Team Roping and Steer Wrestling events. Continuing his college and rodeo career, Payson attended Tarleton State University and Sul Ross State University, where he graduated with his Bachelor in Agriculture Business in 2024.
After graduating, Payson grew his successful horse training business, riding horses for the public and traveling all over the United States including Hawaii. Payson hopes to contribute his extensive knowledge of all rodeo events, his horsemanship skills, and the lessons he has learned from numerous connections through his time and travels related to rodeo.
