NMJC Goes 3-1 at Home Tournament

The Lady T-Birds hosted their home NMJC Tournament over the weekend. The team finished the tournament 3-1. 

For their first match the women fell to Colby Community College 0-3 on Friday. The team had their first home win Friday night after defeating Eastern Wyoming College in 3 sets. They continued a winning streak throughout the weekend defeating both Otero Junior College and Trinidad State JC on Saturday. 

Leading in kills for this weekend's tournament sophomore Kristine Teivane with 51 kills and 43 digs. Freshman Maggie Machado comes in second with 32 kills and 26 digs. Freshman Kennedy Kelley had 31 kills while freshman Isabella Zen from Budapest had 5 blocks and 5 aces. 

Their next match will be at home on Wednesday September 15th at 6PM MST against New Mexico Military Institute.
