Lady T-Birds Defeat Odessa Wranglers in 4

The Lady T-Birds faced the Odessa College Wranglers Wednesday night inside Caster Activity Center. The team defeated the #13 ranked Wranglers in 4.

The Lady T-Birds started off strong in the first set winning 25-19. Odessa College put up a good fight in the second set, but fell to the Lady T-Birds 26-24. NMJC fell to Odessa College in the third set 18-25, but quickly came back to win the fourth set 25-18. 

Kristine Teivane led the team in kills with 18 kills, 14 digs, and 3 blocks. Kennedy Kelly had 12 kills, 3 aces, 9 digs, and 5 blocks. Leading in digs was Ta'Nya Gibson with 22 digs, and 2 aces. Lacie Schooley led in assists with 45 assists, 15 digs, and 3 blocks. 

Other teammates who put up numbers were Isabella Zen with 7 kills and 2 blocks, and Maggie Machado who had 8 kills, 12 digs, 3 blocks. 

Their next match will be Saturday, September 25th in Snyder, TX against Western Texas College at 2PM CST.
