T-Birds Beat Western TX College in Three

The T-Birds defeated Western Texas College in three sets at home on Wednesday night in Caster Activity Center.  

The team played a close first set winning 28-26. Set two and three went a lot smoother for the T-Birds as they won the second set 25-10 and the third 25-19. 

Leading the team in kills was Kristine Teivane with 17 kills and 26 digs. Keniah McRuffin followed with 9 kills and 1 block and Ta'Nya Gibson had 16 digs. 

NMJC also recognized three volleyball sophomores at last night's match; Kristine Teivane from Daugavpils, Latvia, Ta'Nya Gibson from Crosby, TX, and Keniah McRuffin from Dallas, TX. NMJC is very proud of these women for their hard work on and off the court and are honored to call them T-Birds. Thank you Kristine, Ta'Nya, and Keniah.  

The T-Birds will play their last home game of the season on Saturday, October 23rd at 2PM against Clarendon College in Caster Activity Center.
