In a battle of nationally ranked teams the #8 ranked Lady T-Birds finished a strong second just three points back from meet champion, #3 ranked South Plains and three points ahead of #2 ranked El Paso CC. "This is the best we have ran as a team" commented Coach Jeff Becker. "I am very proud of these ladies and they are not satisfied, they want to get better and better".

Freshman Flomena Asekol continued her undefeated as she picked up the win in a strong time of 17:52. "I am very proud of Flomena" commented Coach Becker. "She is running really well and is having a great season." The Lady T-Birds placed three other ladies in the top 10. Montserret Rios continued her outstanding season finishing in 8th place. Not too far behind were Britnie Dixon (9th Place) and Gladys Koech (10th Place). The last two lady T-Birds had great runs as well finishing 13th (Abigael Murgor) and 15th (Doris Kitony). "Abigael had a great finish to her race and that really helped the team" stated Coach Becker.
