The T-Birds dropped their second game of the weekend to No. 14 Iowa Western 10-0 on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Andrew DeLeon received the loss as the starter for NMJC. The freshman threw three innings walking four and allowing four earned runs.
Jesus Mejias and Jeremy Cuevas registered the only two hits of the game for NMJC which were singles.
The Thunderbirds fall to 2-5 on the year and will have their home opener Friday, Feb. 13 against Western Nebraska CC in a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. MST. The games will be streamed on YouTube.
