Odessa, TEXAS (November 2, 2015)
The New Mexico Junior College Men's Basketball team came out flat in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference opener and lost 93-67 to the Wranglers.
Jalin Hart played well for the Thunderbirds and lead all scorers with 21 points connecting on 6-of-11 from the field and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line. Tyler Blount scored 14 points and Randy Haynes, who battled foul trouble throughout, scored 13.
The Thunderbirds were out rebounded 40-30 and allowed the Wranglers to shoot 58% from the field which ultimately led to the 26 point defeat.
The Thunderbirds return home Saturday to take on the Western Texas Westerners at 3:45 P.M.
