The New Mexico Junior college men's basketball team lost 85-78 Monday night, falling to Frank Phillips College in overtime. The T-Birds led 43-29 at the break, but were outscored 41-27 in the second half and 15-8 in overtime.
Josiah Riley led NMJC with 20 points. Roosevelt Smart had 19 while Xabier Gomez chipped in 18.
With the loss, NMJC falls ot 19-10 on the season and 7-8 in conference. The T-=Birds conclude their season Thursday against Howard College in Big Spring.
