T-Bird (MBB) Drops 1st Game of the Season
The No. 2 Thunderbirds struggled offensively dropping their first game of the season 86-73 to South Plains on Monday night in the WJCAC opener.

NMJC came within 11 points throughout the second half but couldn't hit the necessary outside shots to bring the game into single digits and ultimately fell by 13 points to the Texans.
Sophomore Wing Isaiah Alexander finished with a career-high 22 points and five rebounds. Armon Jarrard went 3-for-6 from 3-point land finishing with 13 points and four rebounds.
Guard Garrison Phelps recorded a career-high 11 points and six rebounds. Jannoy Thomas ended the game with four assists. The T-Birds were outrebounded on the glass 44-31.
