NMJC (MBB) Recognized with NABC Team Award

The Thunderbird men's basketball team earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2024-25 season.

NMJC has earned the recognition for the third straight year and has accumulated eight straight semesters of 3.0 or higher team GPAs. The Thunderbird squad featured 11 student-athletes over a 3.0. 

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The T-Birds finished the year with a 3.20 GPA.

NMJC men's basketball will begin the 2025-26 season Saturday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. MST in Hobbs, NM against Dallas College Brookhaven.
