Bio
Brian Lohrey is entering his sixth season at NMJC and his third as head coach.
Over the last two years as Head Coach his record is 40-21 playing in arguably one of the toughest Junior College leagues in the country. He has had 3 players named All-Region, two Honorable Mention and one Defensive Player of the Year. In his five years at NMJC whether as an assistant or head coach he's helped 29 players move onto the Division I level going to conferences such as the Big 12, ACC, A-10, Sun Belt, MEAC, Conference USA, Southland, MVC, WCC, Summit, MWC, SWAC and WAC.
Lohrey as an assistant coach for three seasons, was instrumental in turning the NMJC program around and helping the program reach the NJCAA National Tournament in 2013 and 2014. In his first season, he helped guide the program to the Region V Championship while securing the first National Tournament apprearance in 17 years. Overall NMJC went 77-23 in his three seasons as an assistant coach.
Lohrey arrived on campus from Centeral Missouri where he served the UCM mules in the same capacity. While he was at Central Missouri, the Mules were 64-23 and captured the 2010 and 2012 MIAA Conference Championships under the guidance of head coach Kim Anderson, the school's all-time winningest coach.
