Bio

Shaun Gutting is entering his fifth season at NMJC and his third as Assistant Coach. Gutting was a volunteer Assistant for his two previous seasons. In Gutting's four seasons at NMJC, the program has posted a 90-37 record and has made the Regional Tournament each year with 1 National Tournament appearance. He has also coached three Junior College All-Americans, as well as 8 All-Conference players. NMJC has sent 29 players to the Division I level since Gutting joined the program.

Before NMJC, Gutting coached at Fort Collins High School in Colorado from 2011-2013. He was also a head coach for Rocky Mountain Fever AAU program from 2009-2012.  Prior to his High School Coaching career, he served as the Head Student-Manager at Colorado State University from 2008-2011 under current Nebraska Men's Basketball Head Coach Tim Miles.  Gutting graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts. His father Steve is currently a coach at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, CO where Gutting was All-Conference honorable mention in 2006.

He recently earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from East Central University in Oklahoma.
